Raising capital and progress update

By Michelle Barson, KeraVet Bio Staff

KeraVet Bio will soon close on its series seed 2 funding.  We’ve been fortunate to have a lot of excitement around this new technology for the veterinary health market and have been able to make a lot of new connections because of it.

This month and next we are meeting with three venture capitalist groups as well as a few individual investors to complete this round and set up for our next.

Winston-Salem Partners Roundtable (WSPR)

WSPR is a group of over 70 accredited investors who are advancing the economy of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, by investing together in promising early-stage companies. Their investors include seasoned business leaders with experience across a wide array of industries.  They’re able to provide mentorship and strategic support in addition to investment capital. WSPR is a collaborative partner of Greater Winston-Salem, Inc., with the shared mission of advancing the Winston-Salem economy.

Desert Angels

Founded in 2000, Desert Angels is a Tucson-based non-profit organization of accredited investors that seeks opportunities to invest in Southwest United States regional and national startup and early-stage companies.

Veterinary Angels Network (VANE)

In March of 2021, VANE was created as a social group of aligned animal health professionals interested in early-stage animal health businesses.  They had a shared goal to maintain and grow connections with other entrepreneurs with similar interests and a desire to support others in the field, prompting them to establish a venture capital group. VANE is the first animal health network offering funding, support, and mentorship to veterinary ventures.
