Non-healing Pressure Wound in a Partially Paralyzed Cat

History: Aspen, 14 y.o. MN DSH cat, is partially paralyzed and primarily drags his hind limbs, putting him at risk for pressure-related wounds.

Clinical Findings: Aspen developed a sore on the right rear limb at the tarsal joint that failed to heal for 2 weeks. The non-resolving lesion was evaluated, and I recommended trying KeraVet Gel to be applied twice daily for 2 weeks.

Succcessful Outcome with KeraVet Gel: Within 24 hours, the owner reported the sore looked significantly better. With consistent application over the following 2 weeks, Aspen’s wound showed marked improvement. At recheck, I was very pleased with the progress, noting clear advancement in healing and overall wound condition.
