KeraNetics began in 2008, when a group of entrepreneurs, scientists and U.S. military veterans partnered with the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine to launch a company focused on developing products to treat complex traumatic battlefield injuries that were occurring in Iraq and Afghanistan at the time.

Today, KeraNetics is the global leader in keratin science and is recognized as a leading bioscience company with 23 patents. Since our founding, we have received $20MM in grant and contract funding and $19MM in private equity funding. We are located in the heart of Winston-Salem, North Carolina’s Innovation Quarter and maintain our partnership with Wake Forest University. We’re proud to employ 12 amazing individuals with two of them being PhD scientists.

KeraVet Bio is our third spinoff company and we are excited to bring it to full commercialization in 2023.
